Who We Are : Foster Hetherington, Guide,
Instructor
Foster has been a fishing guide for over a dozen years and has
guided on some of the most challenging and rewarding waters in
the country. From Alaska to the Rocky Mountains and now here
in Vermont, Foster has been teaching fly fishing and helping
experienced anglers learn unfamiliar waters.

Outdoor Games
Utah's Lance Egan led the way with an 11-inch trout that he traded for
a gold medal on Friday, trailed by silver medalist Lance Stanchfield
of Wise River, Mont., who came in with a 10 1⁄2-inch catch, and
bronze medalist Foster Hetherington of Brandon, Vt., who recorded a 10
1⁄4-inch trout.

Foster’s years
of experience and uncanny ability to read water consistently
put clients on fish. Foster’s personality
and fly fishing knowledge combine to leave novices and seasoned
anglers alike feeling that they have not only enjoyed themselves
but have left every trip with new skills that are applicable
on any body of water.
Recently Foster competed in the ESPN Great
Outdoor Games Fly Fishing competition in Reno, Nevada and the
Outdoor Life Network's
Fly Fishing Masters Tournament. Foster went up against some
of the top fly anglers in the world and came home to Vermont
with
Bronze and Silver medals. His third place ESPN finish guarantees
him a spot in next years competition.
Additionally Foster has
been certified by The Fly Fishing Federation as a casting instructor
and has attended Joan Wulff’s School
for casting instructors.
